Today at technicraft room 7 and I were doing an experiment of hot air balloons
with our science teacher Miss Gawith.

We put our materials in our working hand side and were ready to do our experiment.  
First we lit the meths burner and put the tripod over it. We hand rubbed the ice cube and
put it in the flask. My partner grabbed 1 balloon and stretched it out to make it fit into the
flask properly. The ice cubes started to melt and the balloon was heated by the flames of
the meth burns and it grew bigger and bigger and the balloon popped.

I really enjoyed doing an experiment about hot air balloons because I’ve
experienced something new that I haven’t tried before.

Some rocks are heavy and some rocks are light!

Gorilla glass is a material that is used to protect your phone screen!

Let's reduce heat energy!

reduce heat energy in our environment.

Keeping warm!

Learning Intention: We are learning to understand the impact of heat energy on our environment.

Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I write eight facts about what would happen if the world gets warmer.

The effects of heat energy!

Learning Intention:  We are learning to understand the impact of heat energy on our environment.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I write 13 signs that our bodies and earth have been affected  by the heat energy from the sun.

Heat Energy!

Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I identify six key information about heat energy.  

Making Home-made Ice-Cream

Room 1 and Room 2 made vanilla ice-cream in Room 2 after morning tea because we are learning how to turn liquid into a solid.  First we put evaporated milk into a bowl and whipped it for 40 seconds each.  Then we added sugar and vanilla and beat it again.  It looked creamy, thick and fluffy.  Then we put it in the freezer to set.  Finally we ate it and it tasted delicious.  I am excited because I now know how to make homemade ice-cream.
