First time ever making a glittery dark green play dough?

On the 18th of March 2019, my group and I made glittery dark green play dough for St Patrick’s Day as a class. We were given all the ingredients by our teacher and then we got into work. We wore hygienic surgical  gloves to mix the food colouring into all the dry ingredients to get the dark green colour of our dough. Then we used sparkly green glitter to shine the green dough.

Afterwards, my group and I formed different shapes and sizes, not only that but also formed the dough into a long slithery spiral to create a maze game. We used a white foam polystyrene ball and a coloured straw to blow the ball around our difficult maze game. I found the maze difficult because, it was hard for my foam ball to go up the ramps that my group have made and through the little door.

I had such a fun time making play dough, not only because it was my first time but forming the dough into a spiral with my classmates.

Going to the beach on Christmas Day!

During the fantastic school holidays my family and I decided to spent Christmas with the Stowers family.

First, my mum packed a big bag full of snacks for the children and a bowl of delicious smoothies. When we were ready to go, I asked my mum if we could go for a swim in the sea and she said,'' Yes'' so I packed my swimming suit and went for a swim.

Next we took all things that we had brought to our small tent and then we all headed off to the park.At the park, I played on the the seesaw and took turns.When it was time for lunch I went for a short swim before I come for lunch. For lunch, I had bacon, pork, sushi, chicken and chips, fried rice, and some salad. It was so delicious that I couldn’t stop eating.

Finally we played a game called mannequin challenge and the rules are that when the music stops, you have to freeze on the spot and when the music is back on again you can continue dancing. We had fun playing the mannequin challenge.

Lastly, we said goodbye to the Stowers family and we went back home. We all had a nice, hot bath to wash off the the dust and smell of the sea.

My favourite part of the the day I liked best was when I was doing the mannequin challenge because when you take a video, you have to make a pose and freeze.

Learning Intention: We are learning to write a recount using the correct language features.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I can use sequencing words to start my paragraphs about my Christmas holiday.

Duffy Theather

Duffy theather
Cool! What an awesome Show.

Today three Duffy characters introduced themselves to us.They told us how fun reading is.First we sang a song about Duffy and it was really fantastic,because they sang and played the guitar.

After wards they told us that they will be in different characters.Then they told us a mama joke about a story called Doctor Who, it was really funny and my favourite.

Next, Duffy told  us a story about Ruby who couldn't read a book because she didn't go to school.Then Ruby gave Duffy a photo album of her dad who got shot during the war. The best part I  like was, when Duffy time traveled and tried to save Ruby's dad.But Duffy was way too late to save Ruby's dad.

Lastly we said thank you for the amazing show they have performed for us.

My best holiday ever?

In the holidays, I went to watch my cousin performed at  the Indian gate for  Miss India 2015.

When she was up on stage  me, nana, aunty, and my little cousin cheered for her. She performed 3 different kinds of dance.It  was a Tongan dance, a salsa , and the last one was a hip hop.When she finished dancing , 3 Indian men also danced and my cousin and I shouted go!go!

When my cousin dance, all her friends from the University  cheered   and shouted .My  aunty  took  our photos.When it was finished me and my cousin danced around,again  my aunty took the video of us dancing.

We all have a really great time.We  went home and ate. 

Auckland Live trip

At Auckland town hall I watched a group of talented dancers.I saw  them  creating spirals, shapes , pattern and rolling over dance moves.Then they performed a haka .They also taught us three actions of  the haka.

Next I used the the ipad to look at the bird houses.I saw birds with different colours flying around the bird house. 

My next activity was amazing.Me and  my friends  dialled a number that was on a big screen and different kinds  of people appeared on the screen.Then we had to blow on the speaker of the phone and the hair of the person on the screen moved and get blown away as if it was real.

After  that we all went to the Herald theatre to watch a show.There were 4 actors two boys and two girls.One of the girls was a narrator.The story was about making electricity for the village. They pretended that the smoke was their fart.They asked us lots of questions about how to make electricity.

The part I liked best was when the girl made a fart noise then smoke came out.
Lastly, we got on the bus and went back to school.
I had the best trip ever.



  

My Trip to the beach

              Have you been to the beach?
One day I went to the beach with my family.

At the beach we put the blanket on the sand, then we put 4 umbrellas up.
The colours' of the umbrellas are red, orange, yellow,light green,dark blue and purple.

After that me and my baby sister pick pretty shells.Then mum called us to come so we can eat chicken wings ,fish,potatoes, and burgers.

Next, I swam with my brother, sister, and my dad.I asked my dad to splash me with water.It was fun.

Later we packed our stuff then we went home.

 You are the most wonderful person in my life.When you go to the hospital take great care of your self. I pray that God will heal your cancer soon. Also, I want to say thank you mum for taking great care of me when I was little.
