sharing my maths strategy

Today I was given a problem to solve.How many is 3 rows of 5 pumpkins ? The answer is 15 ,I know because 5 + 5 = 10 + another 5  = 15, another way is 5 x 3 = 15 or, another way is skip counting in 5 like 5 , 10 ,15 = 15
